25 | On December 28, 2022 at approximately 8:50 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Josiah Gathing and Gagandeep Singh met with licensees Brenda Fitz-Hoisington and Ashley Brown for the purpose of a required annual inspection. The facility days and hours of operation are Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. During today’s inspection, there were two children and two adults present. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance.
A health and safety evaluation was conducted in all areas accessible to children. Off-limits areas of the home include: Master Bed/Bath, Children’s Rooms, Laundry Room, and Backyard. LPAs observed a full 2A10BC fire extinguisher, first aid kit, and functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in the home. Per licensee, there are no weapons or poisons in the home. LPAs observed required posted documents.
During file review, LPA observed necessary Children’s documents. LPA observed current roster and fire drill log last updated November 1, 2022. LPA observed Mandated Reporter Training certificate dated May 11, 2022, and CPR/First Aid certificates completed in December 2021.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual – Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417.
