25 | On 03/09/2020 at 1:20 PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jeevun Birk-Miller met with the licensee, Shari Hogue, for the purpose of an unannounced annual inspection. The Licensee's husband, adult child, and eight daycare children were at the facility during the inspection. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. A health and safety inspection was conducted in all areas accessible to children. Off-limits areas include: master bedroom, one bedroom, laundry, and garage.
At 1:31 PM LPA observed the required postings, a working phone, and 3A10BC fire extinguisher. During the inspection the LPA was unable to test the smoke and carbon monoxide detector due the children napping. The Licensee stated she would send a video of her testing the alarms when the children are awake. Toxic and hazardous items are inaccessible to children. There are firearms in the facility and the LPA observed them. There is a spa and the spa meets Title 22 regulations.
At 1:42 PM the licensee's immunization records for measles (MMR), pertussis (Tdap), and the flu are available in the facility file. Current in person EMSA CPR and First Aid certification was verified and expires 09/2020 and AB 1207 Mandated Reporter Training was verified for the licensee. The Licensee's certificate expires 01/26/2022. Eight children’s files were reviewed. Emergency information and required immunization records were on file.
