Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kelly Ferrara conducted a Capacity Increase Inspection and met with Director Amira Elmukhtar. The facility is requesting to increase their preschool capacity from 26 to 28 children. During today's inspection, there were 26 children present being supervised by four staff.

INDOOR SPACE
LPA inspected rooms PK1 and PK2 and both were clean with appropriate furnishings for preschool children. There were two toilets and two sinks for the children's use all in operable condition.

LPA used previous measurements taken during the pre-licensing inspection. PK1 measured 543.02 square feet and PK2 measured 452.96 square feet for a total of 995.98 square feet. The measurements taken would accommodate the requested 28 children, however the Folsom Fire Department clearance was granted for a maximum capacity of 27 children.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
The playground is equipped with an age appropriate structure and there is adequate shade and drinking water available. LPA used previous measurements of the outdoor area which would only accommodate 16 children. Shared playground waiver is currently on file and posted at the facility.

This report was reviewed with the Director and Notice of Site was provided and posted. Director understands it must remain posted for 30 days for parental review. Director was encouraged to visit the Department's website at WWW.CCLD.CA.GOV for child care updates, current forms, legislation and regulation information.

As of today September 11th, 2019, the facility is approved to operate with a capacity of 27 children.
