25 | On 08/18/2021 at 02:25 PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jeevun Birk-Miller met with Licensee, Hunera Ibrahim for the purpose of an unannounced annual inspection. During the inspection the census was six day care child in care. The Licensee's assistant, husband, and children were present. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance.
A health and safety inspection was conducted in all areas accessible to children. The off-limits areas of the home are: entire upstairs, garage, and one bathroom on the first floor. The Licensee has requested that the laundry room also be placed off-limits. LPA will placing it off-limits as of today. licensee understands that off-limits must remain inaccessible and if any changes are needed to contact the LPA. LPA observed the required postings, a working phone, 2-A-10-BC fire extinguisher, and functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home. There are no bodies of water. Toxic and hazardous items are inaccessible to children.
Five children’s files were reviewed. Emergency information and required immunization records were on file. The licensee's immunization records for measles (MMR), pertussis (Tdap), and the flu are available in the facility file. The Licensee's Pediatric CPR and First Aid expires 02/2022. LPA also verified that the Licensee's Mandated Reporter Training is current and expires 12/2021.
This provider is currently not providing IMS services to children in care. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department.
