25 | LPA Kelly met with the site supervisor, Ms. May Xiong Yang for an annual inspection. LPA toured the facility, including all activity/classrooms areas, the isolation area, food service area, restrooms and outdoor play areas for rooms 19 & 20. LPA reviewed care and supervision of children, staffing ratios, health related services, including medications and first aid supplies, furniture, equipment, fire drills, drinking water and food service provisions. There were 14 children and 4 staff present today in the Toddler's room 19, the preschool program in room #20 were not present today.
LPA observed all required forms to be posted. Staff stated currently there are 5 children on medication in the preschool room and in the toddler's room there are 3 children on medication. The center has a locked box for storage of medications that is inaccessible to children in care. Some first aid materials were available. The children do not napped at the center. There are adequate toys and equipment available for children. The restrooms were observed to be in working order. The center provides breakfast, lunch and snack for the children, that is provided by the District.
The center Preschool hours in Rm# 20 are from 8:am to 2:30pm M-Th & one Friday a month. The Toddler Program in Rm# 19 schedule is M-F 8:00am to 2:30pm .
LPA reviewed the sign/in-sign/out sheet. Children Emergency Contact, and Personnel records. At least one staff member present today has current Pediatric CPR and First Aid.
LPA provided the Licensing Agency website (www.ccld.ca.gov), so the director and/or staff may obtain updated licensing information, regulations, and forms.
There are no deficiencies cited for this visit.
