32 | Staff and children's records were reviewed. Each child's file contained an emergency card and a medical assessment. At least one staff member present today has current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification (exp. 11/11/20). All staff currently employed with the facility have a criminal record clearance, health screening report, Mandated Reporter training certificates, and documentation of the educational background, training, and/or experience. A current fire drill was observed with the last one conducted in May 2019.
This facility provides Incidental Medical Services- IMS. LPAs reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. LPAs checked facility's fees and confirmed that it is up to date.
LPAs provided the Community Care Licensing’s website www.ccld.ca.gov, so the licensee can obtain updated licensing information, new regulations and access forms. LPAs advised licensee of their responsibility to stay current in regards to new regulations. LPAs also included the email address for the children's advocacy program to stay current on new laws childcareadvocatesprogram@dss.ca.gov.
No deficiencies were observed based on today's inspection. An exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with licensee who stated she understands todays inspection. Notice of Site Visit posted and licensee understands it must remain posted for 30 days. |
