25 | On August 8, 2022 at approximately 11:35 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Josiah Gathing and Mandie Goodwin met with licensee Nada Mohammed for the purpose of a required annual inspection. The facility days and hours of operation are Monday – Friday 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. During today’s inspection, there were seven day care children present, with a total of 14 enrolled. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance.
A health and safety evaluation was conducted in all areas accessible to children. Off limits areas include: Kitchen, Livingroom 2, All 5 Bedrooms, Bathroom closest to Living Room 2, and garage. LPA observed a full 3A40BC fire extinguisher, and functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. LPAs observed first aid kit. Per licensee, there are no weapons in the home. Toxic and hazardous materials are stored in a laundry room cabinet, inaccessible to children. Required postings were observed near the entrance.
During file review, LPAs observed all necessary Children’s documents. LPAs observed a current children’s roster and fire drill log. LPAs observed Preventative Health and Safety certificate as well as First Aid/CPR certificate valid through October 2023. LPAs observed current Mandated Reporter training valid through October 2023.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual – Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department.
