25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Rosie Pitts met with the licensee Tarra Fields for the purpose of an annual random inspection. Prior to the inspection, Licensee submitted a request for a capacity increase of her Family Child Care Home from 8 to 14 children. Licensee received required fire clearance from Sacramento County Department of Community Development, Building Permits and Inspection to operate at a maximum capacity of 14 children on 07/19/2019. LPA Pitts also conducted an Annual random inspection. The facilities’ hours of operation are 5:00AM to 11:00PM Monday – Friday. The facilities annual fees are current. Upon arrival, Licensee, and 3 day care children were present. During the inspection, Licensees assistant arrived. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. A health and safety evaluation was conducted in all areas accessible to children. Licensee requested to update off limit areas. Off-limits areas include both bedrooms located in the hallway of the home and the garage. LPA observed a working phone, 2A10BC fire extinguisher, first aid kit and functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Per licensee, there are no weapons in the home. No children were observed in parked cars. There are no accessible bodies of water on the premises. Toxic and hazardous items are inaccessible to children. Safe were observed. The fireplace in the home is appropriately barricaded to prevent access by children.
Licensee does not provide Incidental Medical Services (IMS) at this time.
