32 | A sample of staff and children's records were reviewed. All files contained the required documentation. At least one staff member present today has current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification that expires in April 2021. LPAs observed a current children's roster and fire drill log with the last drill conducted on July 2nd, 2019.
All staff currently employed with the facility has a criminal record clearance and are associated to the infant and preschool license. LPAs reviewed the Department's inspection authority and discussed with Director any changes that may occur regarding the director or an employee acting in the director's absence must be reported to department within 10 working days.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed although there are no children currently enrolled with medication. The facility has a first aid box with ample supplies. This facility evaluation report was reviewed and discussed with the Director. A notice of site visit was provided and should remain posted for a period of 30 days for parental review. Director was encouraged to the visit the departments website at WWW.CCLD.CA.GOV for information regarding child care updates, forms, regulations and legislation pertaining to child care centers. Director was advised to check the website within the next couple of months for updates on safe sleep practices.
No deficiencies were cited on the infant license at this time.
