25 | At approximately 1:00pm on 10/17/22, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Amanda Blesi and Matthew Gallo arrived to the facility and checked in with the front office at the elementary school. LPAs met with staff Nalin Tjitradjaja to conduct a 1-year required annual inspection. Coordinator, Amanda Garcia, and Inelva Carvajal arrived shortly to assist with the inspection. The facility is located on Two Rivers Elementary School in room C-1. Facility hours of operation are Monday – Friday 8:00am to 11:00am and 12:00pm - 3:00pm. Upon arrival, LPA observed 9 children supervised three staff. All fingerprint clearances are monitored through the Natomas Unified School District.
LPA toured the classroom and observed food service. There is a restroom for the children located in the classroom. LPA reviewed care and supervision of children, staffing ratios, health related services, furniture, equipment, drinking water, and food service provisions. The facility has a waiver to share the outdoor space with the elementary school and is used at alternate times than the school.
LPA reviewed the children's Identification and Emergency Information. LPA reviewed personnel's education and immunization requirements. At least one staff member present today has current EMSA approved Pediatric/Child CPR and First Aid.
Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual-Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the department.
