25 | At 9:00 a.m., on Wednesday, February 23rd, 2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Karyn Guerra met with Licensee, Hiresha DeSilva, and Director, Cindy Alvarado, for the purpose of a 1 year- required inspection. A risk assessment for COVID-19 was conducted prior to entry into the facility. Census consisted of 3 infant children supervised by 2 staff, and 12 toddler children supervised by 2 staff.
All individuals requiring criminal background check have obtained clearance. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
Annual fees are current. Hours of operation are from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday. Facility provides breakfast, lunch, and morning and afternoon snack to toddler children. Parents and Guardians provide food from home for infant children.
LPA conducted a health and safety inspection of the classrooms, restrooms, and food service areas. LPA observed the following documents are posted: License, Emergency Disaster Plan, Personal Rights, Parents' Rights Poster, car seat laws, menus, and daily schedule. Cleaning disinfectants and hazardous items are appropriately stored and inaccessible to children. Director stated that there are no firearms nor poisons on the premises. LPA observed a carbon monoxide detector. Fire Drills were conducted and documented at least once every 6 months.
