25 | On October 5, 2023 at approximately 1:20 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Josiah Gathing met with Licensee Oleg Brodovinskiy for the purpose of an unannounced annual random inspection. LPA observed care and supervision of 37 preschool children by four staff and the Director. All persons requiring criminal background checks have been cleared. The facility has a maximum capacity of 75. The facility hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
LPA toured the classrooms, restrooms, front desk/office, and outdoor play area. Licensee stated there are no firearms on the premises. Toxic and hazardous items are inaccessible to children. Furniture and equipment are in good condition. Playground equipment and surfaces are free of loose or sharp parts and the ground below the play structures is sufficiently padded. Restrooms are in sanitary condition with functioning toilets. The floors were clean throughout the facility. Medications are stored out of children’s reach and labeled according to regulation.
LPA observed that solid waste containers were covered. The facility provides morning and afternoon snack and parents provide lunches. Drinking water was readily available to children both indoors and outdoors. LPA observed tablets for electronic sign in and sign out near the entrance.
All present staff files were reviewed. LPA observed a current Mandated Reporter certificate which will expire October February 27, 2025 and current CPR and First Aid certificate which will expire February 26, 2024.
LPA reviewed a sample of children’s files and observed them to be complete. LPA observed children's roster a fire drill log last updated September 6, 2023. LPA observed first aid equipment, functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and fully charged fire extinguishers meeting regulation. Required documents were posted.
