25 | Due to COVID-19 pandemic, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Joleen Kenney is conducting the meeting via FaceTime with the Applicant.
LPA Kenney contacted the Applicant, Amelita Ibarra, for the purpose of a pre-licensing inspection for a small family child care home. During the FaceTime visit, LPA Kenney requested to tour the facility. LPA and Applicant toured the two story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, loft, 2 1/2 bathrooms, family room, living room, dining room, kitchen, garage and backyard. Off limit area will consist of the kitchen, dining room, and entire upstairs. The applicant understands that children are not allowed access to off limit areas.
LPA obtained a copy of the Mortgage Statement from the Applicant as proof of control of property. Applicant has completed the Preventative Health and Safety course which includes 1 hour of nutrition and lead exposure. The Applicant has provided a current Pediatric First aid and CPR training certificate that will expire 11/2022. LPA provided blank forms required for children's records including immunization card and Safe Sleep Regulations. LPA provided documents for seat belt/booster seat laws, vaccination requirements for staff and children, and smoking prohibition.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department.
