25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Deanna Villagrana met with applicant Sandra Schwehr to conduct an announced pre-licensing inspection Via Facetime due to Covid-19. The Applicant resides in the home alone.
Days and hours of operation will be Monday - Thursday from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM and Friday 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Applicant has completed her Preventative Health and Safety Child Care Training on 02/14/2021 including Lead Poisoning on 01/26/2021. Applicant's CPR and First Aid certifications are current and expire on 08/10/2022. Applicant owns her home. LPA observed Applicant has liability insurance with Markel and it expires on 02/26/2022.
LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas during today's visit. There are no stairs or fireplace in the home. Off limit areas inside the home: Master bedroom/bath, one bedroom converted into a living room, two hallway closets and attached garage. LPA observed a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, working smoke detector, working carbon monoxide detector, a fenced backyard and no bodies of water. There is a small play house to the left of the yard accessible to children. Off limit areas outdoor: in-law unit in the backyard of the home. Applicant could not show LPA unit because she stated the key was in a safe at the bank. Applicant states that there are no weapons or animals in the home. Cleaning Products, toxic agents, medications, and sharp objects were inaccessible to children. LPA reminded Applicant that smoking, baby walkers, bouncers, jumpers, and similar items are not allowed in Family Child Care Homes.
A review of staff records on 02/26/2021 indicates that all Facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. A review was done through Gaurdian and printed out. Fingerprints were not showing in LIS system. LPA reminded Applicant of the applicable civil penalties for those adults who have not received fingerprint clearances, are not associated to the license and who come in contact with or provide care and supervision to the children. Penalty amounts: $100.00 per person per day, minimum of $100.00 to a maximum of $500.00 per person for an initial violation and a minimum of $100.00 to a maximum of $3000.00 per person for any subsequent violation within a 12 month period. |
