25 | On February 21, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kris Diaz conducted a required 3-year inspection at the facility. LPA met with Site Supervisor/Teacher Donna Cintron-Pardus who granted access and guided the LPA on a tour of the facility. Upon arrival LPA observed 20 children in care with 4 staff. During the inspection, LPA observed staff and children using universal safe hand washing procedure, supervising toileting, circle time. The facility consists of 1 classroom. The facility operates a morning and afternoon program (AM: 8a-11:00a/ PM: 11:45a-2:45p). Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed.
Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. The classroom is clean and safe. Telephone service was verified. Heating, lighting, and ventilation are adequate. There are cubbies for children's belongings in each classroom. LPA observed age appropriate toys and materials. There are two water fountains. Drinking water is also available inside the classroom in the form of water pitchers, disposable cups and water fountain.
LPA inspected and observed 2 clean bathrooms (4 toilets, 4 sinks). Toilets and sinks are functioning properly and are age appropriate. LPA observed soap, toilet paper and paper towels readily available. Water temperature was tested and is appropriate. Outdoor play equipment was inspected for health, safety, cushioning material (sand, rubber padding), good repair and age appropriateness.
There are 2 playgrounds. Left side has the grass and sand area (large swings, octagon climbing equipment, age appropriate toys, shade trees and additional covered play area.
Right side play area is separately gated with a canopy over the large jungle gym climbing equipment, water fountain and rubber padding on ground. Large play equipment and structures are securely anchored. |
