32 | During the course of the investigation, a random group of children and staff were interviewed to gather details pertaining to the above allegation(s); however, it is unclear if the allegation(s) reported were noted on a specific day or classroom(s). Interviews with children reported having issues with staff raising their voices when redirection is given but did not confirm being grabbed in a rough manner by specific staff/classroom at the facility. Staff also reported having issues with staff interaction in the classroom, but they did not confirm observing any of their peers inappropriate handling any of the children in care. On today’s inspection, LPAs observed care and supervision activities at the center. Children also expressed feeling safe but unhappy with care provided by their teachers. Lastly, on 04/30/2024 an annual inspection was conducted as part of Community Care Licensing (CCL) facility review to address any concerns and to correct any deficiencies cited for the center under the preschool component to be in substantial compliance with Title 22 and Health and Safety code.
During the investigation no additional witnesses corroborated above allegation and/or observations, therefore, based on the information obtained during investigation, there is conflicting information regarding the allegations. Although allegations may have happened or are valid, there is no preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation(s) did or did not occur, therefore allegations are deemed Unsubstantiated at this time.
