25 | On date and time listed, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Perla Ordones and Susan Brewer arrived at the facility to conduct a required/annual inspection as part of a compliance review. LPAs toured the facility, inside and out, records were reviewed, and the following was observed and/or discussed: The licensee Deborah Burdette and 2 staff.
Normal days and hours of operation are: Monday - Friday, 6:30AM - 6PM.
OFF-LIMIT AREAS INCLUDE: Master Bedroom 1, Master Bedroom 3, outdoor shed, back patio, south east section of the yard, and the garage.
· The facility is operating within the licensed capacity and appropriate ratios. LPAs took a census of 6 children present and supervised by the licensee and 2 staff.
· Appropriate supervision was provided during this inspection.
· A working telephone is present and current number on file.
· Appropriate fire extinguisher, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector were present and were tested by the Licensee during this inspection.
· Fireplace is properly screened to prevent access by children. An electric fireplace is present at the facility.
· All hazardous items were not stored inaccessible to children.
· Toxins are not locked. At 9:10 AM LPAs observed 3 cans of spray paint, 1 can of raid and 1 can of Off bug repellant, located on a shelf, which was accessible outside. LPAs observed Clorox cleaner and Antibac spray cleaner on kitchen counter. However, no children were present outside or inside to access items, and supervision was provided to children in care during all times during this visit. Licensee was advised on the regulations requiring poisons and toxins to be locked and store inaccessible to children. The licensee removed the items in presence of the LPAs.
· Weapons are not present at this time. Licensee understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 Regulations. |
