13 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rachel Zeron arrived at the facility to conclude a complaint investigation in regard to the above allegations received on 02/15/2024. A previous visit was conducted on 02/27/2024 to initiate this investigation. LPA were given access to the facility by the director, Toni Espino. LPA discussed the purpose of today’s visit, took census, and toured the facility. LPA met with the director to further discuss the complaint allegation and deliver findings.
During the investigation, LPAs made observations, reviewed pertinent documentation, and conducted interviews with pertinent parties. It was alleged, Staff left children unattended and Staff did not assist child with wearing clothing as needed. Interviews with staff implied that children are supervised when children are using the bathroom,teacher in the classroom closest to the bathroom will assist supervising children as needed if teacher does not have assistance at any given time. It was disclosed that that classroom does have two teachers for the most part and teachers have scheduled times to take children to the restroom as a group. Staff denied leaving the children at anytime unattended and will call for assistance if needed. In regard to the allegation, staff did not assit child with wearing clothes as needed. |
