On 05/18/21 at 01:00pm Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Justin Giese made an unannounced visit to the Facility for another purpose. LPA met with LIcensee, Gary Johnson.

At 1:53pm LPA Giese observed personal hygiene products stored in the under sink cabinet and shower of the children's bathroom. LPA observed products labeled "harmful if swallowed" and "keep out of reach of children" This poses an immediate health and safety risk to the children in care. The facility was found to be in violation of the following Title 22 regulation:

102417(g)(4) Operation of a Family Child Care Home:

Operation of a Family Child Care Home. Poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, firearms and other items which could pose a danger to children shall be stored where they are inaccessible to children.
See LIC 809-D for cited deficiency

Licensee removed all hygiene products at time of visit. LPA verified they were relocated to the off limits Master Bedroom which is key locked for entry.

A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED AND LPA VERIFIED THAT IT WAS POSTED IN A PROMINENT LOCATION AT THE FACILITY BEFORE LEAVING. THE LICENSEE UNDERSTANDS THAT IT MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR THE NEXT 30 DAYS ALONG WITH A COPY OF ALL TYPE A DEFICIENCIES (LIC809D) CITED DURING THIS INSPECTION.
