25 | Licensee has applied for capacity change from 48 children to 28 children by removing Rooms 4 and 6 from the school-age program and moving the school age program to Room 2 at the front of the facility. New fire clearance has been obtained on 7/11/2019 approving a capacity of no more than 26 children. Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kim Leung arrived at the facility this date on 7/18/2019 conducting an inspection. During inspection, LPA toured the facility. Criminal record clearances were verified and staff-child interactions were observed. Facility was observed operating in compliance with ratio and supervision requirements at time of this inspection. LPA observed no hazards accessible to children. Forms and expiration for medication stored at the facility for a child was reviewed.
No deficiency was cited during this inspection.
Per measurements on records and the previous Facility Evaluation Reports, facility has sufficient indoor (Room 2) and outdoor activity space (school-age playground) to accommodate the requested capacity.
Licensee has requested to increase the capacity for the preschool program by including Room 4 and Room 6 in the preschool license. Per facility director Nicole Garcia's request, the school-age will continue operating in Room 4 and Room 6 until after 8/9/2019. Ms. Garcia stated that all furniture, equipment and supplies would be moved to Room 2, the new school age room, after the business hours on 8/9/2019 and pictures would be submitted to the Department by 8/11/2019. Capacity change and room change have been approved but would not be effective until 8/12/2019 per Ms. Garcia's request. Effective 8/12/2019, the capacity of this school-age program would be changed to 26 children per the fire clearance dated 7/11/2019. Exit interview was conducted with Ms. Garcia. Notice of Site Visit was issued and must be posted for 30 days.
A copy of this report was provided to the facility. This report must be made available at the facility for 3 years for public review upon request. |
