25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Justin Dorsey and Steven Montoya met with Lead Teacher, Maira Gutierrez and Assistant Teacher Felicia Young, today for the purpose of conducting a Required - Annual inspection. There were 21 children total present during today's inspection. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) were discussed. Facility is open Monday through Friday. There are two A.M. classes (8:00 A.M to 11:00 A.M.) and two P.M. classes (11:45 A.M. to 2:45 P.M.).
Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness, cleanliness and good repair. Telephone service was verified as well as heating, lighting, and ventilation. There are cubbies for children's belongings. LPA observed age appropriate toys and materials. Drinking water is available inside the classrooms in the form of a water fountain. Children do not nap. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other items that are dangerous to children, were inspected for inaccessibility to children. They are kept locked in cabinet. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts.
LPA observed 2 individual bathrooms in each classroom in working condition that are age appropriate. LPA observed soap, toilet paper and paper towels readily available. Staff use a separate bathroom located in the cafeteria across the playground. Fire extinguishers, smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors were observed to be in operable condition. |
