3rd allegation: Licensee yells at children in care. Interviews revealed the Licensee uses an animated and exuberant voice when talking to the children. Additional confidential interviews denied hearing the Licensee yell at the children in care.
4th allegation: Licensee does not provide adequate food service. Staff denied the allegation and reported the children are provided with three meals and three snacks a day. Confidential interviews reported zero concerns regarding the food service at the family childcare. LPA reviewed grocery store receipts for the months of November and December 2022, which documented the food purchased for the children in care.
5th allegation: Licensee inappropriately speaks to children in care. All interviews conducted denied the Licensee made inappropriate comments about the children’s weight. Licensee denies refusing food but did ask a child to wait a few minutes before asking for seconds and a third serving.
Based on the information obtained during interviews, the documentation reviewed and the LPA observation, the Department has determined the complaint allegations to be unsubstantiated. Although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violations occurred.
An exit interview was conducted, and a copy of this report was read and provided to the Licensee, Nellie Badillo on this date, along with a copy of the appeal rights. The Notice of Site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. |
