On the above noted date and time, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Diana Brasel conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection for an increase in capacity. Upon arrival, LPA met with Licensee Lalita Bakshi. Licensee is requesting to be licensed for 23 infants ages 6 weeks - 24 months in infant room 1A and Infant room 1B. The facility will have a total capacity of 34 preschool children in room #3. Hours of operation will be Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 5:30 pm. Present during today’s inspection were (8) children with (2) staff. Appropriate ratios and supervision were observed. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Lalita Bakshi that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities.

LPA continued to tour the facility and measured new and previous indoor activity space. LPA measured new and previous outdoor activity space. Total indoor activity space measured is 786.90, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 22 Children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots/mats, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via Brita water, parents bring children's water bottles. The facility has paper cups for children if needed. There are sufficient cribs/mats/a potty chair and a toilet. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property. Fire clearance was granted on 06/27/2024.

LPA observed a total of 2 sinks and 2 toilets and 2 changing tables available for children’s use. These are sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 22 children.

The facility currently has a fully fenced playground area. Fencing wood and wrought iron that is at least four feet high. The total square footage for all the outdoor activity space is 1718.39, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. Shade is provided via wind sails, small canopy and a large tent canopy covers the entire playground B. There are sufficient outdoor age-appropriate toys and play equipment available on the playground. Drinking water is available via Brita water and children's water bottles. LPA observed all hazardous items on the playground to be inaccessible to children. Licensee Lalita Bakshi was reminded that any changes to the facility must be reported to and approved by Community Care Licensing.


No corrections are needed.
A license for 22 infant children ages 6 weeks - 24 months will be granted upon a final file review.
The preschool license will be reduced to a capacity of 34 children ages 2 through 5, per licensee's request.

An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was provided.
A Notice of Site visit was provided and shall be posted for 30 days.
