25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Neal met with Administrator Maria Rodriguez today for the purpose of conducting an Annual/Required inspection of the infant center. Facility's hours are Monday through Friday, 6am to 6:30pm. They are closed on holidays. Present today were 2 infants and 1 teacher. There is also a preschool component and a school age component for this center. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) were discussed.
Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness, cleanliness and good repair. Telephone service was verified as well as heating, lighting, and ventilation. LPA observed age appropriate toys and materials. Infant component is separate from the preschool and school age components. Furniture and equipment were observed in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. LPA observed 8 cribs in the napping room. Per Administrator sheets are stored separate from each other and washed on Fridays. There is a refrigerator in the infant's eating room where bottles and containers of food are labeled with the infant's name and current date. Changing table, within arms reach of sink, is located in a room beside the playroom. Diapers are kept in labeled containers underneath the changing table. There are moveable, covered bins for solid waste. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other items that are dangerous to children were observed to be inaccessible. |
