25 | On 12/21/2023 at 2:15 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Raymond Moorehead arrived at the facility to conduct a case management inspection. LPA met with Licensee Rocio Villanueva. A case management inspection was conducted in response to the receipt of an Unusual Incident Report (UIR) from the Licensee. The UIR was received by the licensing agency on 11/20/2023. The reported incident took place on 11/20/2023.
The UIR documented an incident where there was a fire that took place in a off limit area of the facility's backyard. The off limit area is fenced off to the children's play area. This was a self reported incident, and no children or other persons were affected. The play area for children in the backyard was not affected and is safe for play.
During today's visit, LPA investigated the incident, licensee was interviewed, a tour/census was taken, and the following was disclosed.
Licensee stated that once she saw the fire, she immediately took the 8 children in care outside to the front of the facility. Further, Licensee stated that she then took the children in care across the street to the neighbor's house. Licensee stated that she called 911 at 9:37 AM. Licensee also stated that all children in care were picked up by parents/authorized representatives by 10:30 AM.
Based on the information obtained, there appeared to be no violations of Title 22 Regulations pertaining to the reported incident at this time. LPA conducted an exit interview with Licensee Rocio Villanueva, and provided a copy of this report. A Notice of Site Visit was issued and must remain posted for the next 30 days. |
