25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Thompson-Miller met with Licensee, Michelle Russell, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility for an Annual Random inspection. This is a two story 6 bedroom, 3 bathroom home with kitchen/dining, family room, living room, formal dining room, laundry room and garage. There is no pool/spa or body of water on the premises. Family members residing in the home include 4 adults (licensee, licensee sister, licensee nephew, licensee niece) and two children. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed.
Main care is provided in the child care room-Bedroom #1 (next to the kitchen). Children use the bathroom in hallway next to the kitchen. Off limit areas include the the entire upstairs (Bedroom #2, #3, #4, #5, #6 bathroom #2 and #3, laundry) and garage (key lock). The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents/cleaning compounds (upstairs), medicines (off limits bedroom) and hazardous items (sharp knives in the garage, top of refrigerator) that can pose a danger to children. Fire/earthquake drills complete and maintained current. Roster complete and maintained current. Stairs have a gate.
The backyard is completely fenced. There is no swing/slide. There are two small dogs. There are age appropriate play equipment (airplane, bikes, Little Tikes toys). There are barbecue grills and equipment that are covered and inaccessible. |
