25 | On May 17, 2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Calloway met with Licensee, who granted access. LPA and Licensee toured the home inside and outside for an Annual Random inspection. Family members residing in the home include 2 adults (licensee, licensee nephew) and two children. The home is licensed for 14 children and the operating hours are: 23 hours care, Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed.
Physical Plant: This is a two story 6-bedroom, 3-bathroom home with kitchen, dining, family room, living room, formal dining room, laundry room and garage. Main care is provided in Bedroom #1 (next to the kitchen). Child’s Bathroom is in hallway next to the kitchen, it was free of hazards, shampoos, and poisons. Off limit areas include: The entire upstairs (Bedroom #2, #3, #4, #5, #6 Bathroom #2 and #3, laundry, and garage (safety, key lock). There are age-appropriate toys and books. Napping (mats) equipment. The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents/cleaning compounds (upstairs), medicines (off limits bedroom #2). The hazardous items (sharp knives are over microwave over the stove inside a cabinet). Fire/earthquake drills are not current. Roster complete and maintained current. Stairs were not gated. The required fire extinguisher (2A10BC) and smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors are in operable condition. Fireplace is screened. Home has central AC and heat. Required postings were present on the wall. Licensee has a working cell phone. Outside: The backyard is completely fenced. There is no swing/slide. There are two small dogs (vaccinations not updated). There is age-appropriate play equipment, bikes, Little Tikes toys). |
