13 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rachel Zeron arrived at the facility to conclude a complaint investigation that was initiated July 16, 2021. Census was taken, and the facility was toured. It was alleged that staff left day-care child unsupervised.
During the investigation, LPA Zeron made observations, conducted interviews with Staff and other relevant individuals pertinent to this investigation. It was alleged that when a parent drops off their child with with teacher, teacher takes the child inside and returns to a teacher meeting outside. Therefore leaving the child unattended.
Interviews revealed that the "home" teachers are outside at the COVID 19 check- in table conducting check in and COVID 19 health checks and daily health checks with both parents and children. Once the child is cleared to come in to the facility, the "home" teacher will walk the child to their classroom and the other "home" teacher will take the child into care. Interviews revealed, there is always one teacher in the classroom and the other is conducting the check-in until ratios are met. Once ratios are met then the Center Coordinator or floating teacher will take over the check-in. |
