25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Kim Leung and Elyse Jones returned to the facility this date on 11/30/2021 conducting a following inspection. During previous inspection on 11/19/2021, facility was cited for operating out of ratio, using the garage as primary child care area, having hazards accessible to children in the kitchen, bedroom and laundry room, not conducting disaster drill as required by the regulations and not in compliance with record keeping requirements.
During this inspection, LPAs observed 8 children in care. LPAs observed children napping in the living room and another group of children having indoor activities in the child care room. LPAs observed that the garage has been refurnished with couches and adult table and chairs. The child care furniture and supplies observed in the garage during previous inspection were now in the living room. Licensee stated that the garage has been made inaccessible to children after the previous inspection. LPAs observed no hazards accessible to children in the kitchen. The laundry room and the bedroom adjacent to the hall bathroom have been made inaccessible to children. Licensee and assistants have completed the AB1207 Mandated Reporter Training on 11/24/2021 and proof of training was received. LIC508 Criminal Record Statement for each of the 4 assistants were reviewed during this inspection. Fire drill log was reviewed. The most recent drill was conducted on 11/29/2021 with 10 children per the drill log. Immunization records for Staff 2 were reviewed during this inspection. As stated by licensee, Staff 3 no longer works at the facility after 11/24/2021.
Deficiencies cited on 11/19/2021 have been corrected. No deficiency was cited during this inspection.
Exit interview was conducted with licensee Liliana Lopez, Notice of Site Visit was issued and it must be posted for 30 days. A copy of this report was provided to the licensee. |
