25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Nadia Flores conducted a Tele-Visit with licensee Ida White, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility for a case management, capacity increase inspection for a large family child care. This visit was held virtually due to COVID-19 Emergency Response. This facility currently does not have a waiver to operate as a large family day care.
The home is a 2 story home with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The living room; dining area; backyard; kitchen; and 1 bathroom downstairs are designated for child care. This home was inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, central air and heat and ventilation. Also for inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and other hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. Per licensee, there are no weapons or firearms on premises; LPA did not observe any firearms during this inspection.
Main care is conducted in the living room, dining room, and bathroom downstairs. The living room which is designated as a playroom LPA observed age appropriate toys and furniture that children have access to. Licensee reports that she has one child that is currently distance learning however she will be utilizing the dining room for distance learning if she has other school age children attend day care. Fireplace is screened and inaccessible and home has central heating and air conditioning. The kitchen and bathroom were toured and inspected for proper storage of chemicals, detergents, cleaning compounds, medications and sharp pointed objects, all items were made inaccessible to children. The outside play area was clear of chemicals and debris, the entire yard is fenced.
