25 | On 9/25/2021, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Carol Heath, conduct a Pre-Licensing Capacity Increases inspection with Licensee, Brandie Rivas to ensure the facility meets basic licensing requirements set forth by Title 22, Health and Safety, and statutory requirements. The licensee is requesting to provide care for a Large family childcare home for the capacity of 14 children. Currently, there are 1 adult (Licensee) and 2 children ( 10 and 16 years old) living in the home. LPA toured the home indoor and out to ensure it meets FCCH requirements. Licensee is requesting the days and hours of operation will be Monday through Sunday 23 hours
The home is described as follows:
This is a single-story home consists of 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, family room, laundry room, garage, and backyard. The off-limits areas: include all other bedrooms (child safety knobs), master bathroom, laundry room, and the garage. There is a fireplace located in the living room which is made inaccessible to children with an glass barrier screen.
Indoor:
· Main area
Family room: Child care is to be provided in one of the bedrooms (Bedroom #1) and the Family room. The home has central heating and air conditioning. All windows are free of cracks, bugs, and debris. Hanging window blinds cords are inaccessible to children.
Bedroom #1: According to the Licensee, the children will play and nap in this room. LPA observed several age appropriate toys for children. There is a baby crib in this room. LPA and the Licensee discuss the Safe Baby Sleep Regulation. |
