25 | On 04/19/2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Zirbes, conducted a Case Management inspection with Licensee, Veronica Patriz. The purpose of the case management inspection was to assess the home for a capacity increase and ensure the facility meets basic licensing requirements set forth by Title 22, Health and Safety and statutory requirement. The licensee is requesting to provide care for a Large family childcare home (FCCH) for the capacity of 14 children. Fire clearance was granted on April 11, 2022. During the inspection, three preschools age children and one school age child were present. The Licensee was providing supervision at the time of the inspection. Per licensee, currently residing in the home is licensee, adult 1 and three minor children ages 15, 6, and 2.
The home is described as follows:
This is a one story home with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, kitchen, attached garage, detached garage, front and backyard Per Licensee bedroom #2 (daycare room), kitchen, living room, the restroom in the hallway outside of bedroom #2, and backyard are utilized for childcare activities. The off-limits areas consists of: bedroom 1, bedroom 3, both garages and shed. At the time of this inspection the off limits areas were inaccessible via child safety door knob covers. The shed and garage were locked at the time of this inspection. The home has a wood burning stove in the living room. The wood burning stove was surrounded by a child safety gate. Therefore, the wood burning stove was inaccessible to the childcare children at the time of this inspection. The home has central heating and air conditioning.
Indoor:
Bedroom #2 (Daycare room): This room is located on the back of the house and has a sliding glass door which leads to the backyard. Per Licensee, parents and children utilizes the sliding glass door for pick up and drop off. The room had a dramatic play kitchen area, shelving units with blocks, puzzles, and toys for a variety of ages. Books and educational posters were at the children eye level. The room had a changing table.
Living room: This area was furnished with a couch, fireplace, television and cubbies for the children.
