25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Thompson-Miller met with Licensee's, Orbelina Moran and Hilda Gonzalez who guided analyst on a tour of the facility for an One Year Annual inspection. Present are 6 children (2 infants, 4 toddlers) and licensee's. This is a single story 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom home with kitchen/dining, living/family room, laundry room, storage room (converted to a room for son), no garage (converted room with restroom for daughter). No permits for the storage room and the garage. Family members residing in the home include five adults (Orbelina Moran, Hilda Gonzalez and spouse (Fredy), two adult children) and one child. There is no pool/or body of water on the premises. Days/hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6AM to 6PM. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed.
Physical Plant: Home is clean and orderly, fireplace screened, age appropriate toys and play equipment, working smoke detector and carbon monoxide, LPA observed required fire extinguisher (2A10BC), no one smokes in the home, no prohibited items in the home. There is an designated area for ill child(ren) as necessary, no weapon/firearms, working telephone (cell), poisons, medication and cleaning items inaccessible to children. Off limits includes laundry room (key lock), bedroom #1 and #3, kitchen, storage room and garage. Window covering in child care room (living room at entrance on left) cords are tied and out of reach (inaccessible) to children.
The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents/cleaning compounds (in laundry area), medicines (off limits bedroom) and hazardous items (sharp knives upper kitchen cabinet in container) that can pose a danger to children. Fire/earthquake drills complete and maintained current. Roster complete and maintained current. Home has central AC and heat. |
