32 | During this inspection, LPA toured the entire center which consist of an Infant component, Preschool with a Toddler option, and a School age component. Center also has an office area, Reception area, Staff Lounge, Staff Bathroom, and storage rooms. There is an isolation area located in the office and the Staff bathroom will be utilized as the isolation bathroom.
A health check on staff and children will be conducted each day upon arrival. Staff will meet parents and children at the entrance where temperatures will be taken and a brief health questionnaire will be completed before children are signed in for the day and escorted to their perspective classrooms. If a child becomes ill during the day, they will rest in the isolation area and child’s authorized representative will be contacted immediately for pick up. The Department of Public Health will be contacted in regard to any COVID-19 illness. Applicants are reminded to ensure parents sign children in and out daily.
Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that could pose a danger if readily available to children shall be stored where inaccessible to children. Storage areas for poisons shall be locked. Medicines shall be centrally stored and kept locked. |
