LPA Maddox met with Owner, Stephanie Bouchey today for the purpose of conducting a second PL inspection. During this inspection, LPA finalized report from 5/18/2022 and provided consultation on corrections and repairs needed. The main entrance to the center is through Classroom #2. The SA classroom is located through the hallway/office area. There were no SA children present during this inspection.

INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE: LPA observed a variety of age-appropriate equipment, toys and materials in sufficient quantity to allow children present to fully participate in planned activities. Telephone service, heating, lighting and ventilation were evaluated (LPA has concerns with the ventilation for the upcoming summer months, center just has swamp coolers). LPAs observed individual storage areas for children’s belongings, bedding is stored in elevated cubbies labeled with each child's name). Center will use water and sippy cups; Age appropriate tables and chairs are provided to meet the needs of the children. Indoor activity space for PS and School Age are physically separate from space used by Preschool classroom.

Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, all potential hazardous that could pose a danger if readily available to children were stored and inaccessible to children (Staff Bathroom).

The isolation area (located in the office area) is equipped to isolate and care for any child who becomes ill during the day.

HEALTH RELATED SERVICES:

Medications will be kept in a locked box (office area). A refrigerator is available to be used to store any medication that requires refrigeration (Home Economics kitchen area). Center has a developed plan to implement and to record the administration of prescription medication and to inform the child's authorized representative daily when such medications have been given.

LPA observed fully equipped first aid kit (each classroom) equipped with digital thermometers. There are Carbon Monoxide, Smoke detector and Fire Extinguisher (2A10BC) throughout the center.



Incidental Medical Services was discussed.

Bathroom

The bathroom is located inside Classroom#3. LPA ensured the toilets flushed properly and are reachable for children. The restroom has adequate toilet paper and paper towels available.

Center has a separate staff bathroom in the rear of the center in the SA classroom. Water temperature is set on a regulated system to ensure a water temperature of no more than 120 degrees.

Sign-in and Out Procedure: There is a sign in and out binder located in the entrance area.

Outdoor

The entire yard is fenced; there is sand underneath climbing equipment on the play yard; Age appropriate play equipment available

POSTINGS:

There is a Parent Board located to the right as you enter through classroom #2. LPA observed required forms posted that provide the telephone number of the local health department and information on child passenger restraint systems pursuant to Health and Safety Code section 1596.95(g) and Vehicle Code sections 27360 and 27360.5

Each licensee shall have a disaster and mass casualty plan of action. The plan shall be in writing and shall be readily available.
