Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Michelle Hood arrived at the facility for the purpose of conducting a Case Management inspection regarding a request to add room 17 and 18 due to Covid-19. No children were observed on site, the school is closed for summer break and will resume on 09/08/2020. The Facility is currently licensed for 48 children ages 4-5 years old in rooms 1, 1A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15 and 16. The facility is not requesting an increase of capacity, only to add room 17 and 18 and two bathrooms that include 2 sinks and 2 toilets to the license. The facility operates Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

Rooms 17 and 18 were inspected and measured. Classroom measurements: Room 17 - 740 sq. ft. and Room 18 - 638 sq. ft. for a total 1378 sq. ft. Both rooms are currently equipped with age-appropriate furniture and equipment including tables, chairs, bookshelves, and other materials for the children. The rooms were determined to be safe for children's use. Children will bring water bottles/jugs to school. Water is available for children on campus. A fire clearance for 48 children has been approved on 08/20/2020. There is a carbon monoxide detector in the classrooms. The children's restrooms are located outside of classroom 17 and 18. Additional restrooms are available to children. Discussed with the director that staff shall always escort children to and from the restroom with direct visual supervision. The children will continue to use the playground. Discussed proper supervision and placement of staff on the playground to ensure the safety of children. LPA and Director discussed PIN 20-04 CCP to ensure the children and staff are operating in safe manner and environment.

A new license will be issued effective today (08/22/2020) to serve 48 children ages 4 through 5 years to be operated in classrooms 1, 1A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15,16, 17 and 18. No deficiencies cited.
