(3) Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Selina Siao conduct a random inspection. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director Dana Trowbridge in the office and proceeded to tour the facility. All required notices, forms and license were posted. The following ratios were observed today: Room 106 had 9 children resting on mats supervised by teacher Lenia Perez. Room 107 had 11 children resting on mats supervised by teacher Dawn Winslow. Room 111 had 11 children supervised by teacher Yolanda Alvarado. Room 110 toddler class had 4 toddlers napping supervised by teacher Donna Maria Sandstrom. Room 108 toddler class had 4 toddlers supervised by teacher Kimberly Trasvina. Appropriate ratios were observed in all classrooms. Furniture and age appropriate equipment is in good condition. Rooms have adequate heating, lighting, ventilation and drinking water from an operational water fountain. Storage cubbies are readily available, and room accommodates class size. Napping equipment consists of mats and each mat has its own sheet or covering. Bathrooms are maintained with operational toilets and faucets with appropriate temperature. Paper towels and toilet paper are available. Bathroom is lighted and has ventilation. Food service area consists of a kitchen which is clean and free of hazards. Menu is posted. Adequate food is available for meals and snacks or food is catered. Cleaning supplies are kept out of reach of children. Outdoor play area is a fenced playground. Area has an umbrella used for shade. Equipment is age appropriate and separated by age groups toddlers and preschool. Portable water is available in the classrooms and at the playground. LPA reviewed sign in sheets, first aid supplies and reviewed medication policy and storage. Isolation area is the Director’s office. Personnel and client records were reviewed. All personnel have the required immunizations and completed the mandated online child abuse training. All staff members have the required criminal record and child abuse index

clearances or exemptions. LPA reviewed Emergency Disaster Plan and last fire drill was conducted on 05/14/2019. Facility has at least one staff member that has a valid EMSA approved CPR/FA when children are in care. Facility has an operating carbon monoxide detector.

This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. LPA and Director discussed California Megan's Law and LPA provided: www.meganslaw.ca.gov. Director was advised to email childcareadvocatesprogram@dss.ca.gov to request to be on the distribution list to obtain updates.



**The facility appears to be in substantial compliance during today's inspection**

A Notice of Site Visit was posted today, and Site Director was explained that it must remain posted for a period or 30 days. Failure to keep notice posted will result in a civil penalty of $100.00
