32 | The director and staff members denied the allegations and stated that both doors leading to the kitchen are always locked. A few staff members stated that on occasion the door has been observed open, however no daycare children have ever been observed in the kitchen. During LPA’s inspection at the facility on 10/30/2023, the door leading to the kitchen from Room 73 was observed to be slightly open, however the daycare children inside of the classroom were napping. During LPA’s inspection at the facility on 11/2/2023, and 11/13/2023, both doors leading to the kitchen were observed to be locked.
During interviews with staff members, daycare children and daycare parents, no conclusive evidence regarding these allegations was obtained. There is conflicting evidence obtained during the investigation. Though the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are unsubstantiated.
