25 | On September 22, 2022 at 10:45 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Marie Hernandez, conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection and met with the Facility Director Elizabeth Cortese. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and toured the facility indoors and outdoors. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. There are currently seven classrooms in operation. The following ratios were observed in Classroom #3, there were nine toddler children with three staff; Classroom #4, there were nine children with one staff; Classroom #5, there were six children with one staff; Classroom #6, there were four children with one staff; Classroom #7, there were seven children with one staff; Classroom #9, there were five children with one staff and Classroom #10, there were ten children with one staff The facility currently is not using room #8 and room #11 due to low enrollment.
There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. All poisons are kept in a locked storage area.
The furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. All toilets and hand-washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. Floors in the facility are clean and safe. All kitchen, food preparation and storage areas are clean, free of litter/rubbish and free of rodents/vermin. All food is protected against contamination and any contaminated food is discarded immediately. Drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors. Areas around high climbing equipment, and slides have cushioning material to absorb falls. The facility is free of flies, insects and rodents during the inspection today. Facility has one or more functioning carbon monoxide detectors that meet statutory requirements. |
