NARRATIVE
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	On January 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Marie Hernandez conducted an unannounced annual inspection of the facility. LPA met with the Facility Director, Kendra Dedmon. The Director accompanied LPA during the inspection of the facility including the play yard. There were no children present during the inspection today. . There was a least one qualified lead teacher in the classroom. The furniture and equipment are in good condition; free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. The drinking water is readily accessible to children. The disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and other hazardous items are inaccessible to children via latches, locks and/or placed up on high surfaces. No bodies of water was observed during the inspection. The Director states there are no firearms or weapons present at this facility. All toilets and hand washing facilities are in good repair and sanitary. The facility provides breakfast and snacks to the children. The facility has an emergency supply of water and snacks available for the children. All storage containers for solid waste have tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair. Outdoor play area is fully fenced and contains sufficient amount of cushioning with wood chips to absorb a fall. The sign in/sign out sheets are in compliance during the inspection today. All required documents are posted. Children’s files were reviewed and contain the required information. Present staff (during inspection) criminal record clearances, records were reviewed and contained documentation of educational background, training, and/or experience. All present staff members on site had current CPR/First Aid certification. Immunization records per SB792 was reviewed and in compliance. The Director and staff's Mandated Reporter certification (AB1207) has expired.. Last fire drill was conducted and documented on 12/16/2021. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS but currently does not have any children with IMS. The Covid-19 documents were posted and the staff were wearing their facial coverings and social distancing during the inspection. The facility has a posted sign that states "Masks are required at this facility." The carbon monoxide detector was tested and in good working order. The restrooms were clean and in good working order during the inspection.

The Director is advised to regularly visit the Community Care Licensing WEBSITE:www.cdss.ca.gov for quarterly updates and updated regulation information. Community Care Licensing Duty Line: (619) 767-2248, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Southern California Child Care Advocate information was provided, and the Applicant was encouraged to subscribe through the CCLD website in order to be placed on an email list for updated regulation information. The Advocate information was provided: (714) 703-2800 or childcareadvocatesprogram@dss.ca.gov.

An exit interview was conducted and LPA Marie Hernandez explained the inspection report including the deficiency cited on page two (LIC 809-D), The Director was provided the facility evaluation report, appeals rights and the notice of site visit. The Director was advised that the notice of site visit must be posted in a prominent place for 30 days. The Director stated it was understood.

The Director's certification expired on 03/16/2020 and staff Zavala's expired on 02/27/2020.
