Licensing Program Analyst Adrian Castellon conducted an annual random visited at the facility. Upon arrival, Analyst met with Director Linda Cobo and compliance director Shonna Irving. There were 17 children present present and they were napping . Appropriate ratios observed. All required notices, forms and license were posted. Director stated that they current uses the Green Classroom as their main classroom, Blue Classroom as the morning drop off and afternoon pick up room. The Yellow Classroom and both of the lower levels classrooms are currently not being use due to low enrollment. Facility currently only cares for children ages 2 and 5 at this location. Director stated that the facility continues to operations on Monday-Friday from 6am-6pm. Furniture and age appropriate equipment is in good condition inside the classrooms. Rooms have adequate heating, lighting, ventilation and drinking water from an operational water fountain. Storage cubbies are readily available and room accommodates class size. Napping equipment consists of cots which are kept in classroom and each cots has its own sheet or covering. Bathrooms are maintained with operational toilets and faucets with appropriate temperature. Paper towels and toilet paper are available. Bathroom is lighted and has ventilation. Food service area consists of a kitchen located downstairs which is clean and free of hazards. Director stated that breakfast and lunch are brought from the Elementary School. Menu is posted. Cleaning supplies are kept out of reach of children. Outdoor play area is a fenced playground. The playground structure area is free of hazards or debris. There is sufficient cushioning and the area provides shades via canopy.

Both indoor and outdoor have drinking water available for children. Analyst reviewed sign in sheets, first aid supplies and reviewed medication policy and storage. Isolation area is the Yellow Classroom. Personnel and client records were reviewed. Director and the teacher both have a valid EMSA approved CPR/FA card and the required mandated child abuse training certificate. All personnel have required criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. Analyst reviewed Emergency Disaster Plan and last fire drill was conducted on 4/18/2018. The last earthquake drill was conducted with the children on 11/14/2019. Facility has at least one functioning carbon monoxide detector. Reporting requirements and AB633 was also reviewed.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department.
