25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Michelle Hood made an unannounced annual/random inspection. LPA toured the facility with Director.
The following was observed:
Room #4:
- there were 15 children with 4 qualified teachers present.
Room #5
- there were 9 children with 2 qualified teachers present.
Room #6:
- there were 12 children with 2 qualified teachers present.
There are no bodies of water, firearms or other weapons stored on the premises. During this inspection, children were under visual supervision at all times. All disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other dangerous items were inaccessible to children. Classrooms are clean, orderly, free of hazards and was a comfortable temperature during this inspection. The floors, hand washing areas and bathrooms were clean and safe. The facility provides am and pm snack. All food was stored properly in covered containers and items requiring refrigeration were stored at the correct temperatures. The kitchen, food prep, and storage areas were clean and sanitary. Clean drinking water is available indoors and out. Any storage bins or trash cans containing solid waste have tight fitting lids and are in good repair. There is an operational carbon monoxide detector on the premises. The playground equipment is age appropriate and in good repair. The surface space provides sufficient cushioning and is in a safe condition. There are several staff present with current pediatric First Aid/CPR certification. LPA reviewed children's files for admissions agreements. Staff qualifications were verified. Sign in/out sheets were reviewed. LPA discussed sign in/out, playground safety, fire safety, and Incidental Medical Services.
