32 | Lunches, snacks and water bottles will be brought from home. Snacks are served by staff using gloves and masks. Children bring their own water bottles. The facility will maintain children files that include emergency authorization cards and staff files that include proof of criminal background clearance. All childcare areas, including the playgrounds, will be cleaned and sanitized daily or more often when necessary following the facility’s cleaning and sanitation policies and guidelines.
Director/Licensee will contact the Regional Office to notify of the opening date once the waiver is granted. Health check on staff and children will be conducted each day upon staff and children’s arrival. Director/Licensee will ensure compliance with all terms and conditions of the Temporary Waiver and will adhere to Public Health guidelines and directives. To further ensure the health and safety of the children in care, Community Care Licensing will provide on-going Technical Assistance (TA) to the facility. Facility will be notified when the waiver is granted and can begin operation at that time.
The fire clearance will be resubmitted to correct the error and allow Room 9 (Pod C) as part of the request. It was mistakenly omitted in the request. An amended waiver request will be submitted to Program once the amended fire clearance is received. Currently, the facility is not using these rooms because elementary school is in session. If they return to distance learning, the required rooms will be used. Should that occur prior to receiving the amended fire clearance, only Rooms 1 and 3 may be used.
