On 7/12/22 at approximately 11:15 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Annette Sutherland and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Monica Cuddy conducted an unannounced case management inspection. LPA and LPM met with the Director and Assistant Director. The purpose of this visit was to review California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Guidelines regarding Covid-19. The facility was toured and a census was taken. During the walk-through, there were children indoors in some classrooms and others on the playgrounds.

The rooms have sinks and hand sanitizer available. There are sufficient and current resources on hand. Covid-19-related safety and informational posters are visibly posted for parents, children and staff. Per the director, facility staff, parents and children are routinely reminded of proper procedures to ensure safety.

The Director outlined the COVID-19 protocols that have been implemented at the center to include but not limited to: requiring staff to test negative before they return to work after testing positive. Children are able to return on day 6 if they have no symptoms or test negative. The program is in constant communication with the local health department regarding guidances and requirements. Children and staff are washing hands and toys are sanitized with use of a ZONO machine. Parents drop children off at the door to the classroom, or playground gate. The program is also spending as much time as possible outdoors.

Following the tour, LPA & LPM discussed with Director, Donna Taconi, current COVID-19 guidance including but not limited to masking, vaccines, food service, visitors, isolation for illness, and responding to Positives and Outbreaks. Director is aware that mask use is strongly recommended. LPA& LPM provided the director with COVID-19 CDPH guidance web link to the current guidance https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CID/DCDC/Pages/COVID-19/Child-Care-Guidance.aspx). LPA and LPM also discussed and provided the Director with printout of Provider Information Notice (PIN) 22-10-CCP related to current COVID-19 guidance as well as print outs regarding guidance for exposures, ill children, and children who test positive. Director is strongly encouraged to continue to adhere to the CDPH and Department's recommendations and guidances to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

Director requested that room 2A be measured as she is considering possibly converting it to a toddler room. The room has 404.46 sq. ft. available for indoor activities. This is enough space for 11 children. Director understands that prior to making any changes, she must notify the Department.

No deficiencies were cited during this inspection.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee representative, Donna Taconi. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
