13 | At 10:45am on 05/21/2020, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Selina Siao, contacted the facility to deliver the above complaint finding. Due to COVID-19, a tele-inspection was conducted using Face Time to tour the facility. The initial inspection was conducted by LPA Siao on 03/17/20. Throughout the course of investigation, interviews were conducted with the reporting party, several employees and several parents. A written statement was also obtained from Young Living's product support group regarding the effectiveness of Thieves Household Cleaner being a disinfectant. According to the company, they are unable to make claims regarding the product's effectiveness against germs as the product has not been registered with the Environmental Protection Agency. Based on the information gathered, although the allegation may be true or is valid, it can't be determined that the Thieves Household Cleaner product the facility is using to clean their classrooms and equipment is ineffective for that purpose. Facility has been using a sanitizer in addition to the Thieves cleaner since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic as a precautionary measure.
Appeal Rights (1/16) were discussed and provided. Facility was advised to post the Notice of Site Visit and failure to keep the posting will result in $100 civil penalty. Analyst read the report to Director during the tele-inspection. A copy of the report will be e-mailed to the Director and was advised that acknowledgement of the receipt of the report is to be received within twenty-four hours.
