On 4/21/2021 at 3:09 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Selina Siao conducted an unannounced case management inspection. This inspection was conducted virtually via Face Time due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. The purpose of today's virtual inspection is due to a concern that was reported to the Department regarding face covering at the facility. LPA met with Director Donna Taconi. LPA observed 191 children with 26 staff members in 20 different classrooms or playground. All staff members have the required background clearances and are associated to the facility. LPA observed all staff members wearing a face mask covering and five children were wearing a face mask at the facility during the tour today.

LPA discussed the following with Director: COVID-19 Updated Guidance for Child Care Providers, PIN 21-11-CCP and PIN 21-08. Reminded facility that San Diego Public Health Order of The Health Officer and Emergency Regulations #8 indicates that child day care and childcare providers shall operate in compliance with the measures set forth in the COVID-19 Updated Guidance for Child Care Program and Providers. Children two and older should wear face coverings, especially when indoors or when six-foot physical distance from others cannot be maintained.

An exit interview was conducted with Director. A Notice of Site Visit (LIC9213) and Appeal Rights (LIC9058) will be sent along with the report (LIC809) via email. Director shall confirm receipt of these reports via e-mail and the reply of confirmation will serve as the signature acknowledging these rights. Notice of Site Visit (LIC9213) must remain posted for 30 days and failure to keep it posted will result in a $100 civil penalty.
