25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Marie Hernandez, conducted the random/annual and case management inspection. LPA met with the above facility representative. The Representative stated the Director, staff and the children are on a field trip at this time. The Representative stated he does not have access to any records and/or information needed for the inspection. However, the facility also reported to the Licensing Agency that two children ingested some clear white tiny balls (possibly hard plastic or silica) that the child brought from home. The poison control and parents were contacted. Per the interview conducted via phone with the facility representative, Iris IP, the two children were fine with no further incident. The facility was proactive in handling the incident. LPA toured the facility and inspected the classrooms and restrooms, for compliance. There are no bodies of water and/or no fire arms/weapons on the premises during the visit. The disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other dangerous items are inaccessible to children during the inspection. The storage areas for poisons are locked during the inspection. All materials and surfaces accessible to children are toxic free. The furniture and supplies are age appropriate. The rooms have adequate lighting, and ventilation during the inspection. The drinking water is readily accessible for the children during the inspection. The restrooms are maintained with operational toilets and faucets with appropriate temperature during the inspection. |
