1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	On 08/15/2022 at 10:10 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Selina Siao and Annette Suttherland conduct an unannounced annual inspection. Upon arrival, LPAs met with Director Kristy Ford and proceeded to tour the facility. There were 50 preschool children in care supervised by 8 teachers and 1 teacher aide. All classrooms inside and outside were observed to be within ratio. All required notices, forms and licenses were posted. Furniture and age appropriate equipment is in good condition. Rooms have adequate heating, lighting, ventilation and drinking water from an operational water fountain. Storage cubbies are readily available, and room accommodates class size. Napping equipment consists of cots and each cot has its own sheet. Bathrooms are maintained with operational toilets and faucets with appropriate temperature. Paper towels and toilet paper are available. Bathroom is lighted and has ventilation. Food service area consists of a kitchen to prepare for snacks which is clean and free of hazards. The children's lunch are catered by the facility. Snack menu is posted. Adequate food is available for snacks. Cleaning supplies are kept out of reach of children. Outdoor play area is a fenced playground with sufficient rubber for cushioning. Climbing structures and slides are securely fixed to the ground. The younger preschool playground and older preschool playground have adequate shade. Equipment is age appropriate and separated by age groups, infant and preschool. Children has their own water bottles that they use inside and outside the classroom. LPAs reviewed sign in sheets, first aid supplies and reviewed medication policy and storage, all areas are within compliance. Isolation area is the Director's office. have the required immunizations and completed the online mandated reporter training. Reporting requirements was also reviewed. All personnel have required criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. LPAs reviewed Emergency Disaster Plan and last fire drill was conducted on 02/2/2022. Facility has an operating carbon monoxide detector. Facility has at least one staff member that has a valid EMSA approved CPR/FA when children are in care.

This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPAs reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. Child Care Providers can now sign up for Quarterly Updates and PINS through the DSS website at https://cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/community-care-licensing/subscribe. LPA discussed California Megan's Law with Director at www.meganslaw.ca.gov.

Reporting requirements for positive Covid-19 results in children or staff were discussed to include contact with County Department of Public Health for guidance (619)692-8499 and Licensing (619)767-2248 within 24 hours to report the unusual incident. All unusual incident reports shall be submitted to Licensing office via email at SDIncidentReports@dss.ca.gov or via fax at (619)767-2203.

Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to keep notice posted will result in a civil penalty of $100.00. Provided appeal rights to the facility.
