25 | Licensing Progam Analyst (LPA), Tyra Block, conducted an unannounced inspection for a capacity increase with the Licensee and her husband who assisted with translation. Prior to entering the home LPA assessed for COVID-19. The single story house was toured and inspected to ensure an environment safe for the care and supervision of children. The fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide detector, and smoke detector meet requirements and are operational. All hazardous items were latched/locked and secured out of reach of children. Licensee states that there are no weapons in the home. A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse clearances or exemptions. Licensee has installed a fire alarm with a pull station, fire clearance was received on 5/18/21. Licensee owns the home therefore Landlord consent is not required. The home is able to accommodate 14 children comfortably. Licensee's and Helper's First Aid and CPR certifications expire on 4/2023. Licensee meets immunizations requirements and is currently exempt from Mandated Reporter Training as it is not available in Licensee's primary language.
