Licensing Program Analyst, (LPA), Tyra Block, conducted an unannounced inspection for a capacity increase with the licensee. This visit is to verify that the licensee remains in substantial compliance with the health & safety standards as required by regulations governing family child care homes. LPA met with licensee, Saadia Hamdard, also present was her parents and siblings. Licensee has all appropriate forms posted. First Aid/CPR certificate is valid thru 8/2023. LPA confirmed with licensee that all adults residing/working in the home have criminal record/TB clearances/ immunizations and personnel records for a helper must be kept on file and available for review. The 2 story townhome was toured and inspected to ensure an environment safe for the care and supervision of children. Prior to this case management inspection on the same day an annual inspection was conducted. Fire clearance was granted on 11/23/21. Applicant has obtained landlord consent to care for 14 children and LPA discussed that Parent Notification of Additional Children in Care must also be maintained in each child's records when caring for more than 12 children. The home appears to be large enough to comfortably accommodate 14 children.

LPA discussed with licensee the following:
A large family day care home may provide care for up to 14 children, with an assistant present, if all of
the following conditions are met: At least two of the children are at least six years of
age; no more than three infants are cared for during anytime when more than 12 children are being cared for;the licensee notifies a parent that the facility is caring for two additional school-age children and that
there may be up to 13 or 14 children in the home at one time; the licensee obtains the written consent of the
property owner when the family day care home is operated on property that is leased or rented.

The capacity increase is granted effective today.
An exit interview was conducted with the licensee and Notice of Site Visit provided.
